Privacy policy
ClaroMeet listens to meetings, so this page is specific about what that means: what is recorded, where it goes, how long it stays, and how to get rid of it.
What we collect
Three kinds of data, and nothing else:
- Your account. Name, email address, and either a password (stored only as a salted
scrypthash, never in readable form) or a Google account identifier if you sign in with Google. - Your meetings. Audio captured from the microphone you select, the transcript produced from it, and the summaries written from that transcript.
- Billing. Handled entirely by Stripe. We store only a customer identifier and your subscription status. We never see or hold your card details.
There is no advertising, no tracking pixel, no analytics profile and no third-party cookie. The only cookie set is the one that keeps you signed in.
Audio is optional
Every meeting is recorded in segments. When Save audio recordings is off, each segment is transcribed and summarized and the audio is then discarded — only text is kept. When it is on, segments are stored privately so you can play them back or re-transcribe them. You choose per meeting, and you can change your mind for the next one.
How long it is kept
You set the retention policy on your account page: 7, 30 or 90 days, or keep everything until you delete it. The policy applies to meetings you already have, not only new ones, so shortening it takes effect on the next daily sweep.
Deleting a meeting removes its transcript, its summary and its stored audio together. There is no separate archive and no hidden copy.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, from the account page. Doing so signs you out and blocks sign-in immediately. Nothing is destroyed for 30 days, so a deletion made by mistake can be undone simply by signing in again. After 30 days everything — meetings, transcripts, summaries, stored audio, settings and the account record itself — is erased permanently and cannot be recovered by us or by you.
Who processes your meetings
We use a small number of providers to run the service. They process your data only to provide it, under their own terms:
- AssemblyAI — speech-to-text. Receives meeting audio.
- Anthropic — summarization. Receives transcript text.
- Amazon Web Services — storage of saved audio, and delivery of the emails you ask us to send.
- Supabase — the database holding accounts, transcripts and summaries.
- Stripe — payments.
Nothing trains on you
Your meetings are never used to train models, ours or anyone else’s, and nothing is shared unless you share it. A summary leaves your workspace only when you export it, ask us to email it, create a share link, or put it in your team’s shared library — every one of those is an action only you can take, and the last two you can undo.
Telling people they are being recorded
Consent rules vary by country and, in some places, by who is in the room. You are responsible for telling the people in your meetings that a recording is being made. You agree to this when you create an account, and we mean it — please do it.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export and erase your data from inside the product: the account page for your profile and retention, the workspace for individual meetings and exports, and account deletion for everything at once. If you would rather ask a person, or you want a copy of what we hold in one file, write to us at the address below.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects how your meetings are handled, we will say so on this page and update the date at the top before the change takes effect.
