Terms of service

The service

ClaroMeet records a meeting through a microphone you choose, splits it into segments, transcribes and summarizes each one, and rolls those into a single meeting summary. It does not join calls as a participant and no bot appears in your meeting.

Your account

You need an account to record. Keep your password to yourself — anything done through your account is treated as done by you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in. One account is for one person; do not share credentials.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Recording other people

This is the obligation that matters most. You are responsible for telling the people in your meetings that they are being recorded, and for having whatever consent the law where you are requires. Consent rules differ between countries and sometimes between states. We provide the tool; the lawfulness of any particular recording is yours to ensure. If you cannot record lawfully, do not record.

Your content is yours

You keep every right in your recordings, transcripts and summaries. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your content, pass it to the providers listed in the privacy policy for transcription and summarization, and show it back to you. We claim no other right over it, and we do not use it to train models.

Plans, price and billing

  • Every new account starts with a 7-day Pro trial — every feature, no card required.
  • After the trial you land on the Free plan: a limited number of meetings per month with a per-meeting length cap, shown on the pricing section. It does not expire.
  • Pro is $19 per user per month billed monthly, or $180 per user per year billed annually, in advance through Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time from the billing portal on your account page. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end and is not refunded pro rata.
  • Your summaries stay in your account after you cancel, subject to your retention policy.

If a payment fails we may suspend recording until it is settled. We will tell you before the price changes, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Accuracy

Transcription and summarization are automated and will sometimes be wrong — a name misheard, a decision paraphrased loosely, a detail missed. Summaries are a starting point, not a record of what was said. Read anything before you send it, and do not rely on a summary alone where accuracy carries legal, medical, financial or safety consequences. Every summary can be edited before you share it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use ClaroMeet to:

  • record anyone unlawfully, covertly, or without the consent the law requires;
  • break the law or infringe someone else’s rights;
  • attempt to reach another account’s data, or to probe or disrupt the service;
  • resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.

We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used this way.

Ending it

You can delete your account whenever you like, from the account page. Deletion blocks sign-in straight away and is reversible for 30 days by signing in again; after that everything is erased permanently. If you have an active subscription, cancel it in the billing portal first — we check with Stripe before deleting so you are never left paying for an account you can no longer reach.

We may end or suspend your access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running but do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we do not guarantee any particular level of transcription accuracy. Except where the law does not allow it to be limited, our total liability to you for any claim is capped at what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profits, or loss arising from a summary being inaccurate or incomplete.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date before they take effect, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept them. If you do not, delete your account.
